Booklets
Couples are welcome to print their own order of service (acknowledging copyright), but should show a final copy to the priest before it is printed, just to make sure all is OK. We find that most congregations do not look at the booklets even when they have been specially prepared. It is common for couples to provide an outline of the service and a “who’s who” in the bridal party. When you come to visit we will talk through all the options.

An outline of the service consists of:

1. Gathering in God’s Name
   

2. The Ministry of the Word
   

3. The Wedding
   

4. Signing the Certificates
   

5. Prayers

Bible Readings
Yes, at least one piece of Scripture. There are lots of Bible readings to choose from. Please ask for some suggestions. Often in the back of Bibles there are lists to look through. You will also find a few suggestions in the Downloads section. Please make sure the Bible you are reading from uses modern language.

In the "A Prayer Book for Australia" there are two services. The first is the more traditional service, the second is most popular and used for 99% of weddings today.
