St John’s Weekly Bulletin – Sunday 8 January 2017

Following that, thanks to the generosity of Arlo’s family and donations of a number of parishioners, we were able to have a great celebration afterwards at Lowlands Bowling Club. Some people ate from the barbecue, some from Lowlands’ Bistro and it was so good to have a chance to sit and talk and get to know each other better. It was great to know that people felt comfortable inviting friends and partners to church and lunch last Sunday. We hope our visitors blessed by the service and the time together.

Well, we return to our normal schedule of services this Sunday. 9am Traditional Communion, 10.45am Informal Communion, 5pm Modern Informal Worship. I look forward to seeing you as we begin our year with worship of our good and generous God. Members of 10.45am and 5pm services: we need to restart our volunteer ministry rosters, so please email me straight back and volunteer for Welcome, Prayers or Refreshments for this Sunday or the Sunday after.

You can support this project by bringing to church empty small cardboard packets and clean plastic lids and pots; the everyday household packaging stuff you would normally recycle. There will be a box at back of church to collect them in. Thank you!
