St John’s Weekly Bulletin – Sunday 27 August 2017

I really hope you can join us this Sunday for worship. Mark Thornton is preaching at the three Sunday services for the first time and it would be great if you could come and support him, and hear what he has to share from God’s word for our lives today.

This bulletin was emailed to members of the parish on Saturday 26 August 2017 – if you would like to join the Weekly Bulletin email list, please call the church office on 02 4927 5399 and we will happily arrange this.

We will require help on the BBQ, and a spare hand to restock supplies if it looks to be more successful than expected! We will only require 10 people or so across the morning to make this work.

Not only will this help raise valuable funds for our church, but it is also a great way to connect better with each other and to reach out to our local community.

We are planning to sell cakes, slices, etc, jams and pickles and any sewing or crafty things.

We would really appreciate some help to stock this stall.

Goods can be brought to the stall on the day or please ring Jenny Walkom on 0419497392 .

Entry will be by donation and all funds raised will be donated to the restoration project to protect against water damage to the church and hall walls – hence the title of ‘Water Music’!

Please come along to enjoy this wonderful concert and raise much-needed funds to complete the work of the St John’s 1K Club.

So if you aren’t able to make it to church – if you are in hospital, if you are temporarily housebound through physical illness, are suffering from depression, have mobility problems, whatever – we would love to come and share the Eucharist with you. It doesn’t need to be a long visit, but we are always happy to come.
