St John’s Weekly Bulletin – Sunday 22 January 2017

This is the weekend of the Cardboard Box Challenge (Saturday 21 January). As I talked about in my sermon last week, this is an exciting opportunity to welcome families to St John’s and make them welcome. Thanks to Liz and to the team of volunteers that she has assembled to make this event happen. We can’t wait to see the results of the amazing creations! The week after that is also a great weekend of welcome for families at St John’s. On Sunday 29 January at 10.45am we are holding a Blessing of the Backpacks service, to prepare to get the school year off to a new start. If daytime doesn’t work for you, we would love to set up a separate women’s evening group and are looking for someone who would be willing to host this in their home. We’re not asking for someone to lead this group, just to host – but if leading a group interests you, please let me know. Is hosting a group something that you could offer to support women from your church community? Please let Murray know if you can!
