“Joy to the world! The Lord is come.
Let earth receive her King!”
Every blessing of this season to you and those you love!
Many thanks to those who so willingly volunteered to help in the services we offered this year. I really appreciated how many people offered to do a range of different task across our four Christmas services. This made it much easier to plan rosters – all due to people’s willingness to serve visitors to our church.
I’m looking foward to worshipping with you next Sunday – only one service at 10.45am this week. Please RVSP as soon as you can!
This bulletin was emailed to members of the parish on Thursday 29 December 2016 – if you would like to join the Weekly Bulletin email list, please call the church office on 02 4927 5399 and we will happily arrange this.
10.45am – Communion followed by Lunch and Bowls at Lowlands Bowling Club.
We’d love to you to celebrate with us on New Year’s Day. We will have a combined service at 10.45am where we will pray and worship with Angus and Bec Draffan and their families for Arlo’s baptism. After the service, we would love you to join us at Lowlands Bowling Club for a BBQ. Please RSVP if you haven’t already.
Join us on Saturday 21 January for The Cardboard Box Challenge! This exciting event will challenge and inspire school kids in their creativity and imagination. Materials provided BUT feel FREE to bring along your left-over Christmas packaging!
Suitable for Primary & Pre-school aged children, who must be supervised by their carers.
Followed at midday by Refreshments & Sausage Sizzle rsvp: fb.com/stjohnshall
One of the highlights of this January will be the ‘Blessing of the Backpacks’ service at 10.45am on Sunday 29 January 2017. We are inviting children to come along with their school backpacks, ready for a blessing to start the school year. We will need some helpers to make some fantastic school backpack tags for the kids who come – please be ready to volunteer to help with that! In the meantime, you can RSVP on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/stjohnscookshill/
