1. Entry fees: Adults $10.00 per entry. High school students $7.00 per entry.
Primary school students and younger children $2.00 per entry.
Entry by entire classes (bundles together on A4 paper) are free.
2. Payment of the entry fee must be made before or on delivery of art/photography to the exhibition.
Payment may be made by cash, cheque or money order made payable to “St John’s church”.
Envelopes must be addressed to the Secretary St John’s Art/Photography exhibition, 1b Parry Street, Cooks Hill 2300.
A receipt will be provided on request. Entry fees are non-refundable.
3. The art show is open to residents of Australia only.
4. No exhibit may be entered in more than one section.
5. There is no limit to the number of entries per artist.
6. All entries must be the sole work/s of the person entering the item.
7. Entries do not have to have been completed within any particular time period.
8. Art and photography entries must be framed or presented appropriately for display.
9. The maximum size for entries in all categories is 1.5 m x 1.5 m.
10. Entries must be delivered to St John’s Church on Sunday 20 July 2008 between 12.30 and 3.30 pm.
Delivery at any other time will be at the discretion of the event organisers.
Delivery of all items and all associated costs are the responsibility of the entrant.
11. Artists/photographers are required to remove their work form St John’s church at the close of the exhibition.
The event organisers will advise dates and times entries may be collected which will be posted on the door of St Johns Hall
at the close of the exhibition.
12. In the event of any entry not being collected within one month of the close of the exhibition the event organisers may
sell the art work or otherwise dispose of the work in such a manner as it may deem fit. Thereafter the event organisers shall
be under no liability whatsoever to the artist/photographer in respect of any work so disposed of.
13. All personal information gathered by the event organisers will be used solely for the purpose
of administering the art/photography exhibition.
14. The event organisers reserve the right to print the names of all winning entries in any printed media
or for any promotional means including airplay.
15. The event organisers reserve the right to reproduce, without fee, any of the entries in any publications or
advertising media in relation to the exhibition, future exhibitions or for the work of St John’s parish.
16. Whilst all care will be taken, neither the event organisers nor St John’s Church will be responsible for
any loss or damage suffered to any of the works in their possession or under their control and each entrant shall
indemnify the organisers against any loss or damage suffered to his or her art or photography works entered.
Art and photography works will not be insured by the organisers or St John’s Church.
17. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist/photographer.
18. With the exception of High School, Primary School and Junior Youth sections all sections are “acquisitive”.
19. Acquisitive means the item of art of photography that wins that prize becomes the property of the sponsor.
20. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. The judges have the right to refuse to display any entry and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. Entry fee(s) will be refunded in this case.
22. The prizes will total a minimum of $2,000. The event organisers reserve the right to split the prizes or cancel prizes if there are no suitable entries. All entries in the art section and in the photography section, will be judged in the “Open Art/Photography category”. The winning items cannot then be included in their respective category and win a second time.
23. The event organisers reserve the right to provide sponsors for each of the prize categories.
24. Commission for sale of the works is 15%. Prospective purchasers wishing to negotiate the advertised sale price will be referred to the owner of the exhibit.
25. The event organisers reserve the right to change the exhibition opening night or time-frames if required. Any changes will be posted on the St John’s Church website.
26. The event organisers reserve the right to modify or change the terms and conditions. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be posted on the St John’s Church website.
